  49. NX-Kitchen        The Annex's administrative and business conference.  Open
  50.                   to all Annex team leaders, sysops, and moderators, this is
  51.                   the 'working' conference for the net. Discussions,
  52.                   problems, caller concerns, and moderation enforcement all
  53.                   are handled here. Access to this conference is restricted;
  54.                   only authorized participants are permitted access.

  58. NX-Votes          The Annex's announcements and voting conference.  The only
  59.                   traffic in this conference will be announcements to ALL,
  60.                   and votes (to be initiated by the Records Teamleader).  No
  61.                   discussion is permitted in this conference; all discussion
  62.                   shall take place in NX-Kitchen.  Access to this conference
  63.                   is restricted; only authorized participants are permitted
  64.                   access.

  68. NX-RO_Mail        Currently under construction!  The Annex will support R/O
  69.                   mail *only* in this conference.  As with all BBS messages,
  70.                   R/O mail is more private then public mail, but can be read
  71.                   by sysops and cosysops, and as a result is NOT truly
  72.                   private.  Since messages echo to all connecting systems,
  73.                   callers should be aware that this facility is not in any
  74.                   way confidential.  Access is restricted during testing;
  75.                   only sysops & moderators should have access for the time
  76.                   being.  All systems are strongly urged to carry this
  77.                   conference.

  80. NX-Callers2NX     This is the place for callers to speak to The Annex
  81.                   administration and moderators.  All team-leaders and
  82.                   moderators will monitor this conference for messages to
  83.                   ALL or addressed to themselves.  Here's the place to ask
  84.                   questions, make suggestions, and discuss concerns.  In the
  85.                   event that you have a problem with moderation in a
  86.                   conference, or disagree with a moderator's directions, you
  87.                   may discuss them here.  Other participants are urged to
  88.                   NOT get involved in such discussions, since a free-for-all
  89.                   tends to create new problems rather then provide a
  90.                   solution.

  97. NX-ChitChat       General talk, primarily personal or individual in nature.
  98.                   This is the place to exchange personal (but public)
  99.                   letters, talk about individual concerns or experiences, or
  100.                   reach out to individuals with similar interests.  Although
  101.                   personal, this *is* a public conference, and other callers
  102.                   may wish to join in your conversations.

  105. NX-Salon          General talk, primarily of a broader sort than ChitChat.
  106.                   Unlike CrossFire, this is not a debate conference;
  107.                   instead, it is a place to talk about things of broad
  108.                   interest to other callers or individuals.  This conference
  109.                   is the ideal place to announce public events of interest
  110.                   to other callers, such as openings in museums, concerts,
  111.                   special exhibitions, lectures, or classes.  Round-table
  112.                   discussions of items of general interest are also welcome,
  113.                   as long as the emphasis is on the exchange of ideas and
  114.                   providing information.

  117. NX-CrossFire      The Annex's opinion conference, this is the place for
  118.                   spirited debate and the exchange of views.  Disagreements
  119.                   are to be expected, but civil behavior is a requirement.
  120.                   The Annex's rules against personal attacks and insults are
  121.                   in full force!  In keeping with the spirit of an open
  122.                   exchange, some callers may chose to use language not
  123.                   usually used in polite company.

  127.                   political parties, and the political process.  Like Cross-
  128.                   Fire, spirited debates are expected and welcome--and like
  129.                   every other Annex conference, personal attacks are
  130.                   strictly prohibited.  As with CrossFire, language
  131.                   constraints are relaxed.

  134. NX-Phil&Relig     Philosophy and Religion.  Discussions here may range from
  135.                   real or hypothetical belief systems, different systems of
  136.                   philosophy, and various systems of theology.  This is a
  137.                   discussion conference, *NOT* a place to try to convert
  138.                   others to your faith.  You may discuss your beliefs, and
  139.                   ask others about their beliefs, but you may NOT attempt to
  140.                   convert them to your (or any other) faith.  Mutual respect
  141.                   is the keynote of this conference, and the rule against
  142.                   personal attack will be strictly enforced!
